ReturnOn August 30, 2024, during the 1st plenary session of the new (7th) committee of Shanghai Arbitration Commission (SHAC) in 2024, the new list of arbitrators was deliberated and approved. The updated list took effect on October 1, 2024. Captain Tony Huang of T&A Marine has been appointed as an arbitrator of SHAC, specializing in maritime, shipping and international arbitration.

On October 26, 2024, Captain Tony Huang participated in the appointment ceremony of new arbitrators of the SHAC.

Before this appointment, Captain Tony Huang had already been appointed as an
arbitrator of China Maritime Arbitration Commission (CMAC) and Weihai
Arbitration Commission, a Specially-invited Mediator of Nanjing Maritime Court,
and was selected as a member of the Shanghai International Arbitration Expert
Panel. Captain Tony Huang is the first Chinese SCR (Special Casualty
Representative) recognized by SCOPIC Committee, and he also serves as the
Director, Expert Committee Member and International Cooperation Consultant of China
Diving and Salvage Association (CDSA). Since 2009, he has led or participated
in handling more than 50 major marine casualties and oil pollution incidents,
and has submitted more than 40 expert reports to London Arbitration, ICC
Arbitration, Hong Kong High Court, and various maritime courts and arbitration
institutions in China.
